High Voltage

 

High voltage DC and impulse testing is used to determine where possible lightning attachment points might be and whether items such as radomes or wind turbine blades would be susceptible to damage or puncture by initial lightning attachments. Testing of items such as small antennae can be accommodated at Culham with our Marx generator. Should even higher levels of voltages be required, testing using waveforms A and D can be performed at an associate facility.
